Hi, we’re professional shooting instructors, engineers, outdoorsmen and fun-lovers with a deep passion for the art and skill of shooting. With years of experience under our belts, we’ve spent countless hours honing our craft and working with firearms and related gear. Our goal is to bring you the knowledge we’ve gained and share recommendations you can truly rely on. We provide recreational shooting leaderboards, shooting drills, train the trainer education, books and consultation in the shooting experience arena.

Our reviews are completely honest because your trust matters to us. It’s a gamble for manufacturers, but it’s the only way we operate. If something is excellent, we’ll tell you. If it’s not, you’ll hear the truth. We are “handshake” people, we aim for our shooting challenges and drills to be transparent. Our proprietary algorythms are designed for a well lit playing field.

Scott Austin, co-founder of Nomad Rifleman, is a long-time Jackson, Wyoming resident known for his love of the outdoors, dedication to family, and active involvement in his church and community. Scott was the brains behind a world record in Extreme Long Range Shooting with a 4.4-mile shot.

Ben Weiser

Ben Weiser, an expert in shooting equipment and astronomy, combines his love for the outdoors with teaching and advising roles in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, while sharing his passions for nature, firearms, and stargazing. His popular firearms YouTube channel is @greenweiser

David Bott

Rev. David Bott, with over 50 years of shooting experience, is a passionate instructor who shares his love for target and hunting sports with students of all ages, from his young grandson to an 81-year-old grandmother.

Tony Molina

Tony Molina, a passionate firearms enthusiast and former Range Operations Manager in Wyoming, combines his expertise in shooting sports, wilderness survival, and first aid to share his love for the outdoors and is the author of a definitive guide on grizzly bear defense.

Berkeley Johnston

Berkeley, a passionate shooter and outdoor enthusiast, combines his love for family, community involvement, and firearm safety education, bringing his expertise to the Jackson Hole Shooting Experience to create fun, lifelong memories for families.

Zack Shelton

Zack Shelton, a Jackson, Wyoming resident, is a dedicated family man, avid outdoorsman, skilled photographer, and respected community member known for his expertise in shooting, his passion for nature, and his willingness to help others.

Kamille is a skilled and adaptable tech professional known for her expertise in website design, migration, and management, delivering results.

After a 30+ year fear of guns, Lynn Sherwood discerned just 15 years ago that it wasn’t the gun she was afraid of; it was the bad guy behind the gun. Empowered as she worked through her fears, she jumped in to learn everything she could about firearms, personal defense, and competitive shooting, so she could effectively share her passion with shooters from around the world. Lynn now especially enjoys working with children, youth, families and corporate groups to share her passion for the shooting sports, in a safe, educational and FUN manner. As co-founder and former CEO of the Jackson Hole Shooting Experience, Lynn is also a Chief Range Safety Officer and NRA Training Counselor, holding Instructor certifications in NRA Basic Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, Personal Protection Inside the Home, Personal Protection Outside the Home, and Refuse to be a Victim. Formerly an ER and med-surg nurse, she also keeps our company on track to coordinate trauma response courses for our instructors.

She founded High Caliber Women (TM) in 2014 to help empower other women to take charge of life and personal defense with a comprehensive approach in mind, body and attitude! Lynn has competed in national level USPSA matches, and has volunteered at the NRA’s Whittington Center in NM as an instructor at their annual Women’s Wilderness Escape. A personal passion of Lynn’s is to help families talk about end-of-life preferences, reconcile estranged relationships, and perhaps find some peace in the dying process! Make sure to check her TEDx talk, “Happier Endings – Three Ways to Design Your Dying.” As a serial entrepreneur, Lynn has a background in business ownership, management and implementation, and event coordination. With global vision, she’s helped take JH Shooting Experience to the next level of Luxury Entertainment Shooting Experiences. She is extremely detail oriented; we tease her about her love of dotting ‘i’s and crossing ‘t’s but appreciate her managing our systems and details, with excellence. She brings knowledge, honesty, and hands-on/boots-on-the-ground energy to our company – and for you, our valued guests!
